The short version

You can use every part of this site without an account, and we collect as little as we can get away with. We never sell personal data, we never store your IP address in a readable form, and we don't run advertising trackers.

What we collect, and why

Outbound click logs

When you click through to a shop, we record the click: which offer, which page, the time, and a one-way hash of your IP address made with a salt that changes daily — meaning we can spot same-day abuse and count clicks, but we cannot recover your IP address or connect your clicks across days. We attach a random reference to the outbound link so the affiliate network can attribute any commission (see "Affiliate links" below). Lawful basis: legitimate interest in running and protecting the service.

Server logs

Our web server keeps short-lived technical logs (requested pages, status codes) for debugging and security. These are routinely rotated and are not used for profiling.

Things that stay in your browser

Your "recently viewed" products and your cookie choice are stored in your browser's local storage and are never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Analytics — only if you say yes

If you accept analytics in our cookie banner, we may load a privacy-respecting analytics tool to see which pages are useful. If you choose "essential only" (or ignore the banner), no analytics load at all. You can change your mind any time via "Cookie choices" in the footer.

Cookies

We set a small number of essential cookies (for example a session cookie) that are needed for the site to function. Non-essential cookies are only set with your consent, as above.

Affiliate links

Links to shops usually go via Awin, an affiliate network, and we may earn a commission on purchases — at no extra cost to you; this never affects prices or how we order results. When you click through, Awin and the shop may set their own cookies on their domains under their own privacy policies. We recommend reading the policy of any shop you buy from — your purchase is with them, not us.

Third parties we rely on

The site is delivered through Cloudflare (security and performance), which processes visitor traffic as our processor. Product data comes from merchant feeds via Awin. We have no advertising partners.

Retention

Click logs are kept for reporting (they contain no readable personal data). Price history relates to products, not people. Server logs rotate on a short schedule.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, and you can complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk). In practice we hold almost nothing identifiable — but write to [email protected] and we will help.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update this page and its date. We won't quietly start collecting more than described here.
